Scales Elementary visit

scales-1Daryl Mackin recently visited Scales Elementary School, a Murfreesboro, TN City school to share the mission of A Soldier’s Child Birthday Foundation with students. Scales Elementary students do an annual fundraising drive for the school. This year they are partnering with ASC to raise funds to celebrate the birthdays of children whose parent has paid the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our freedoms.

“These kids really get it” remarked Scales elementary teacher Melissa Whitehair.

With Daryl was Faye Golczynski, grandmother of Christian Golczynski whose father was killed in action in Iraq. Scales Elementary leadership, including Catherine Stephens, Principal and Don Bartch, Assistant Principal were instrumental in setting up the visit. Below are some pictures of the visit.
