A Soldier's
Child started its Family to Family Christmas program to
give back to the families of our servicemen and women
who have sacrificed so much. Lost in the busyness of the
Christmas season are the children of those who serve -
who will wake up Christmas morning missing mom or dad
and perhaps not understanding why they can't be there.
With your help, hundreds of young children from nearby
Ft. Campbell, whose parent is currently deployed
overseas, might have a reason to smile when they wake on
Christmas day.
There are two ways to participate in ASC's Family to
Family Christmas:
1.
Make a Donation: Donate
now so we can reach as many children as possible this
Christmas. Your donations are appreciated, and A
Soldier's Child is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3)
organization. All gifts are tax deductible.
2.
Sponsor a Family: Make
a personal connection by selecting a military family to
sponsor. Perhaps you can use this opportunity to teach
your own children about giving and the true meaning of
Christmas.

Here's How Sponsoring a Family Works:
STEP ONE:
You will
first select a military family to sponsor (click
here). We have families with one and families
with as many as six children available for sponsorship.
STEP TWO:
You will
purchase gifts for each child. Our goal is for each to
receive 3-4 gifts with an overall value of $40 or more
per child. We have compiled a list of suggested gift
items for various age groups, which you may view
here. Many families
have provided a "wish list" for each child.
STEP THREE:
The gifts
you purchased should be dropped off at one of three
drop-off locations on Saturday, December 10. The locations
are The People's Church (Franklin, TN), Christian Life
Church
(Murfreesboro, TN), and First Baptist Church
(Clarksville, TN). Please Note: Gifts should not be
wrapped when they arrive. The drop-off locations
will be open from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and you may drop-off
or drop-off and wrap (materials provided) at each
location. We will deliver the gifts to the
recipient families the following week.
STEP FOUR (optional):
We encourage you to include a personal note to the
recipient family, and if desired, you may include your
contact information. Many times the recipient family
wishes to send a note of thanks back to the sponsoring
family, and this will allow them to do so.
