ASC's 4th Annual S.O.S Christmas

There is no better way to give at Christmas time,
than to give to the children of our fallen American defenders of freedom.

Welcome to our 4th annual S.O.S Christmas program, a special way to give back to the children and families of our fallen servicemen and women who live in Alabama.

Please help us this Christmas season, as we set out to ensure the children of our fallen are not forgotten. Together, we will be responsible for serving over 50 Gold Star children. With the love that the Christmas season offers and through your help, these children will know that it did matter, and we do care!

There are two ways to participate in ASC’s S.O.S Christmas:

1. Make a Donation: Donate at www.asoldierschild.org so that we can reach as many children as possible this Christmas. Your donations are appreciated, and A Soldier's Child is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, and all financial gifts are tax-deductible. ASC operates at 87% of every dollar going to the children in programs and services.

2. Sponsor a Family: Make a personal connection by selecting an ASC family to sponsor. This can be a great opportunity for your kids to experience the gift of giving and the true meaning of Christmas.

Here’s How Sponsoring a Family Works

STEP ONE: You will first select an ASC family to sponsor. We will have families with one child and families with up to 5 children or more available for sponsorship.

STEP TWO: You will purchase gifts for each child. Our goal is for each child to receive 3-5 gifts with an overall value of $75 or more per child. We have compiled a list of suggested gift items for various age groups, which you may view here. Many families have provided a "wish list" for each child. YOU MUST USE THEIR WISH LIST when provided.

STEP THREE (optional): We encourage you to include a personal note to the recipient family, and if desired, you may include your contact information. Often, the recipient family wishes to send a note of thanks back to the sponsoring family, which will allow them to do so.

STEP FOUR: Please bring all presents, wrapped and tagged with the children's name and family number on the outside of every gift.

Please bring all wrapped gifts in an orderly fashion on Saturday, December 11th, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., at the Event Center at Roto-Rooter, Huntsville, AL.

You will also need to bring the sponsor sheet (gift record), which will be emailed to you upon confirmation of your sponsorship. This is a list of what was purchased by you for each child and the approximate dollar amount spent on each item.

If a group of people are shopping for a family, all presents must be delivered at the same time to ensure none of the gifts get mixed up.
